The easiest way to make a tasty sweet– let’s see how to prepare White pumpkin sweet.
Ingredients
- White pumpkin – 2 kg
- Sugar – 500 gm
- Sweet less kova – 400 gm
- Ghee – 3 table spoons
- Artificial Color – Green color (just a pinch)
- Tutti Frutti – 100 grams
- Nuts – as we prefer
Things to be done before we start cooking
- Cut the white pumpkin into smaller pieces – remove the seeds and gel like portion.
Refer the image below.
- Grate the pumpkin using a vegetable grater –
choose the bigger holes and not the smaller ones- for grating.
- Start grating the pumpkin pieces as shown below –
- When we grate pumpkin – water will come out. We need to collect it.
Steps to Prepare
Place a wide mouth vessel on burner. Put the grated pumpkin into it.
Pour 50 ml of water + pour the water that was collected from pumpkin (after grating).
Add just a pinch of ‘green artificial color’ – this will give good texture to our sweet.
(We can avoid adding food color if we don’t prefer).
Turn on the flame – Let the contents boil in high flame for 2 minutes.
Then turn the flame to LOW– and the contents boil for another 12 to 15 minutes.
Turn off the flame – Drain (pour out) the water completely from pumpkin.
Let the pumpkins dry for some time (20 minutes)
Place another pan on burner. Put the pumpkin that were let to drain.
Turn on the flame – keep in in LOW. Stir the pumpkins a little.
Let the little water available in pumpkin evaporate (in low flame).
Once we see that all water has gone – pour ghee 3 tablespoons.
Stir for 1 minute.
Add 400 gm of sugarless milk kova – If we are unable to buy sugarless milk kova, we can buy milk kova with already added sugar (that we can get from normal bakery).
Stir continuously in LOW flame, till the kova dissolves and mixes well with the grated pumpkin.
Put 500 grams of sugar – stir continuously in low flame till sugar mixes well.
Put 100 gm of tutti Frutti – stir for 1 minute.
Also, we can add a little of cashew, almonds to taste.
Turn off the flame after 1 minute of stirring – our sweet is ready.
Let the prepared sweet cool down for 20 minutes – so that it becomes a little more thick and nice to eat.
